Travel & Accomodation 2026
We can’t wait to welcome the CG community back to The Florin!
Important Note on Booking: Our event takes place during the buildup to Utrecht Pride. This is a fantastic time to be in the city, but it also means that hotels in the immediate center are booking up much faster than usual and prices are higher than average.
We strongly recommend booking your travel and accommodation as early as possible.
Where to Stay
If you are finding limited availability or high prices in Utrecht City Center, don’t worry. The Netherlands’ rail network makes it very easy to stay nearby and commute in minutes.
Option A: The “Satellite” Hubs (Recommended)
These cities are often 40-50% cheaper and are just a short, direct train ride away:
-
Amersfoort (15 mins away): A beautiful historic city with many high-quality hotels near the station. It’s our top recommendation for a stress-free stay. Trivago link
-
Houten (8 mins away): Extremely close and quiet. Ideal if you want a quick commute. Trivago link
-
Amsterdam (35 mins away): If you prefer to stay in the capital, direct trains run every 15 minutes until late at night.
Option B: Local Neighborhoods & Airbnb
If you prefer an Airbnb or a local boutique stay, look in these neighborhoods which are slightly removed from the Pride crowds but close to the venue:
-
Wittevrouwen: Right behind The Florin—residential, quiet, and charming.
-
Lombok: Just west of the Central Station—vibrant and full of great food.
-
Pro Tip: When booking an Airbnb, ensure the listing has a registration number (required by local law) to avoid last-minute cancellations.

Utrecht Pride & Logistics
The city will be festive! While the main Canal Parade is on Saturday, June 6th, you will see the city preparing on Thursday and Friday.
-
Crowds: Expect the city center to be busier than usual in the evenings.
-
Parking: We strongly advise against driving into the city center. If you are coming by car, use P+R Science Park and take the tram/bus into the center.
